History
1153 Ogden was formerly a boarding house whose inviting brick facade and custom construction dates back to 1896. It was around that time that this property was home to journalist and author Winifred Sweet Black (aka Annie Laurie) whose versatile reporting was featured in the Denver Post and would play a major role in helping to build William Randolph Hearst's newspaper empire.
The building underwent a significant remodel during the construction of 1145 Ogden. Both buildings were completed in 2012, acquired by RedPeak in May of 2015 and would soon become a fixture along the alluring, tree lined streets of the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
