History
Architecturally distinctive, due in large part to what is lovingly referred to as a "drunken brick" or a technique that staggers the brick to create an almost organic flow, 1265 Downing celebrates both a powerful presence and an almost gentile feeling facade. Formerly known as the Plaza del Sol, this unique building has played its part in the Denver community since construction was completed in 1970. RedPeak purchased the 66-unit property in June of 2011 and immediately began a strategic and thoughtful full-building renovation. The exterior, community common areas, hallways, and apartment finishes were all updated while new features like glass patios and flooring were added to enhance the look and feel of the existing architecture.
